How much to tip in Poland
Tipping in Poland is not mandatory. Around 10% of the bill is the most common, and 10–15% in more expensive restaurants. If the place adds a service charge, you do not need to tip on top. Set the percentage you think is fair.
Did everyone eat something different?
An even split is simple, but not always fair. Snap the receipt in Tablejar: the app reads the items and everyone at the table taps their own. No install, no account.
Frequently asked questions
How much should I tip in a restaurant in Poland?
Tipping is not required. If the service was good, people usually leave around 10% of the bill, sometimes 10–15% in pricier places. You can set any percentage in the calculator.
Is tipping mandatory in Poland?
No. It is up to you and a way to show you were happy with the service. Some places add a service charge to the bill, and then no extra tip is needed.
What amount should I calculate the tip on?
Usually on the total on the receipt. If the bill already includes a service charge, check that you are not tipping on it twice.
How do we split the tip between everyone at the table?
Enter the number of people and the calculator shows the amount per person including the tip. You can also round the total up to the next whole zloty.
What if everyone ate something different?
The calculator splits evenly. When prices differ, snap the receipt in Tablejar: everyone taps their own items and the tip is split to the grosz.
