Terms of service

Version of 2026-10-21

Pilot version: Tablejar is being tested with invited people. The rules may change, and we will let you know about significant changes.

These terms set out the rules for using the Tablejar service (the "Service").

1. Provider

The provider is the operator of the Tablejar service (pilot version). Contact: moc.rajelbat@olleh.

2. What the Service is

The Service helps split shared bills: it reads the items from a receipt, lets participants mark their parts, and shows who owes whom. The Service is not a payment institution and does not receive or transfer money: it shows amounts and the details needed to settle, and you make the transfers yourselves.

3. Use

4. Receipt reading

Reading items from a photo is automatic and may contain errors. Check items and amounts before confirming. Calculated amounts are indicative.

5. Account

An account is created with an e-mail address and a login link, no password. You can delete it at any time. Settlements that involved other people stay for them.

6. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for receipt reading errors or for settlements between participants. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded.

7. Personal data

Data processing is described in the Privacy policy.

8. Changes

We may change these terms and will notify you in the Service. Changes apply from publication, and for material changes we will ask you to accept again.

Snap the receipt. Tap what’s yours. Get even.

How does it work?

1. You photograph the receipt. The app reads its items and you quickly fix any mistakes (or type them in).

2. Everyone else joins via QR code or link, with no account, and taps what they had. Shared items split themselves, you can take "3 of 8 pizza slices" or treat someone.

3. The app shows who owes whom (fewest transfers) and where each amount comes from.

4. You tick off payments in the app, and when everything adds up the settlement closes.
